England Rugby, World Cup Winner, England Women’s All Time Record Try Scorer
Danielle Waterman, or ‘Nolli’ as she likes to be known, is a pioneer of women’s rugby and an inspiration to young, aspiring rugby players. Nolli was a member of the Women’s England Rugby Union Team, winning over 80 caps and scoring a record breaking 47 tries for the national team. She recently announced her retirement from the national team in May 2018, though still plays for Wasps Ladies. Nolli has won pretty much all there is to win in the game, including the World Cup, BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year in 2014 and also represented Great Britain in the inaugural Olympic 7s tournament in Rio 2016. Most recently Nolli won the England Women’s Player of the Year award at the 2018 RPA ceremony.
Nolli has worn OPRO throughout her playing career as an amateur and a professional. She is extremely passionate about encouraging youngsters to follow their dreams, particularly in the sport of rugby, which she is working closely with OPRO to promote through our extensive school and club network.
